Absolute Johannes factotum
- SCP-1460 (?)
- SCP-1460 is a 32-year-old man who has been in a coma for eight years due to a traffic accident. Despite his comatose state, his friends, family, and employer believe he is still actively living his life, going to work, and making bank transactions, even though surveillance footage shows no evidence of his activity. If attempts are made to deepen his coma, people around him become confused, suggesting his perceived "activity" is important to maintaining a sense of normalcy for those connected to him.
- Brazen bull (?)
- The brazen bull was an ancient Greek torture and execution device, reportedly invented by Perilaus of Athens for the tyrant Phalaris of Akragas, Sicily. This hollow bull, crafted entirely from bronze, had a door on one side where victims were locked inside. A fire lit beneath the bull would slowly roast the person to death, while an internal acoustic system converted their screams into sounds resembling a bull's bellows, and steam from the cooking flesh would exit its nostrils, creating a gruesome illusion of a living bull. Legend claims Perilaus himself was tricked into testing his invention and later thrown from a cliff, and Phalaris also met his end in the bull.
