Purpose

Improve the Google Docs loading modal so the active step feels more alive without making completed steps look like they are still in progress.

Approach

The implementation was kept intentionally small and local to the loading modal.

  • Removed the hardcoded ... suffix from the review-step labels.
  • Continued using the existing sequential message reveal logic with no hook or workflow changes.
  • Treated the most recently revealed message as the active step.
  • Rendered a Forma 36 Spinner next to the active step only.

Testing steps

Run the workflow and you will see the loading component:
