On small screens in landscape orientation (< 1024px), the vertical layout wastes space and the video is too small to be useful. This switches the FlashcardSession to a compact 3-column grid (controls | video | term list) that maximises video size and keeps navigation and the term list visible simultaneously without a drawer. Also gates the Finger Spelling and Numbers categories behind a DEVELOPMENT flag since they depend on external APIs not intended for the production build.
