I'm Akash Malhotra, a Senior iOS Engineer and Engineering Manager with 15+ years building mobile apps and SDKs. I currently lead the iOS SDK platform at CleverTap, where I own the architecture of a production iOS SDK that runs across 1000+ apps and millions of devices - and I still write Swift and Objective-C every day. I specialize in open source iOS SDK and framework development: clean libraries other developers build on, distributed via CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, and XCFrameworks.
Beyond iOS, I'm comfortable across the stack. I've shipped Android apps, built REST APIs with Node.js/Express, and most recently built Pulstral, a full-featured gaming companion app for Android, as a solo side project.
Outside of engineering, I run InvertedControlFreak, a gaming YouTube channel with honest reviews, indie gems, and conversation with friends, and I design original funny t-shirts - gaming, office humour, and coder/developer tropes.
