Luminous Dynamics builds open-source research systems at the intersection of cognitive architecture, hyperdimensional computing, privacy-preserving verification, decentralized governance, simulation, and reproducible infrastructure.

Our work is consciousness-informed, but claim-disciplined: we treat consciousness, alignment, and collective intelligence as open research questions to explore through code, tests, benchmarks, public documentation, and independent review.

Symthaea — Cognitive Architecture

Experimental cognitive architecture for verifiable, privacy-preserving, consciousness-relevant AI research.

Symthaea combines hyperdimensional computing, closed-form continuous-time dynamics, active inference, Resonant Hypergraph Networks, and zero-knowledge verification to study whether selected cognitive state transitions, safety invariants, and representation updates can be measured or proven without exposing private internal state.

Focus: HDC, CfC/LTC dynamics, RHN memory, cognitive-loop integrity, ZK verification, browser/WASM kernels.

Not claimed: AGI, proven consciousness, medical compliance, or legal compliance by default.

Mycelix — Decentralized Coordination

Agent-centric civic and commons infrastructure for privacy-preserving credentials, governance, health-adjacent coordination, education, mutual aid, and local-first resilience.

Focus: Holochain hApps, commons governance, decentralized identity, consent, credentials, post-quantum cryptographic experiments, and rights-aware coordination.

Symtropy — Math, Physics, and Simulation Substrate

Reusable N-dimensional math, geometry, physics, and simulation substrate for research systems.

Symtropy is the lower-level simulation and dynamics layer. It is separate from Symthaea’s cognitive architecture and Mycelix’s civic/governance layer.

Luminous Nix / Nix for Humanity — Reproducible Infrastructure

Tools for making NixOS and reproducible Linux infrastructure easier to understand, configure, observe, and repair.

Focus: AI-assisted configuration, causal system graphs, developer environments, observability, and reproducible research infrastructure.

Xenia — Consent-First Remote Sessions

Experimental peer-to-peer remote-session infrastructure focused on consent ceremonies, cryptographic session integrity, and local-first control.

Luminous Dynamics does not claim that its systems prove artificial consciousness, constitute AGI, replace external safety evaluation, or provide medical/legal compliance by default.

We build experimental infrastructure for studying these questions honestly.

Development Values

We prefer systems that are local-first where possible, privacy-preserving by design, reproducible, transparent about limitations, resilient under failure, and aligned with human and more-than-human flourishing.
