This repository provides a collection of hardware design files for SMD-to-DIP breakout boards (adapters). These boards are specifically designed to enable easy prototyping of surface-mount integrated circuits on standard 2.54mm (0.1") pitch breadboards or perfboards.
The designs are optimized for a minimal footprint while maintaining ease of soldering. Each sub-directory includes production-ready Gerber files for various industry-standard packages:
- SOIC (8, 14, 16 pins): Adapters for Small Outline Integrated Circuits.
- TSSOP (20 pins): Adapters for Thin Shrink Small Outline Packages.
- QFN (16 pins): Adapters for Quad Flat No-leads packages, including a central thermal pad for grounding/cooling.
All adapters route the SMD pins to two rows of standard headers, making them perfect for firmware development and hardware testing without the need for custom PCBs for every iteration.

The Gerber files are organized by package type. Each folder contains:
*.gtl/*.gbl: Top/Bottom Copper layers.*.gts/*.gbs: Solder Mask layers.*.gto/*.gbo: Silkscreen (Legend) layers.*.drl: Drill files.*.gm1: Board outline (Edge Cuts).
No specialized software is needed to use the manufacturing files. You can upload the .zip or individual Gerber files directly to PCB fabrication services (e.g., JLCPCB, PCBWay) or inspect them using open-source tools like KiCad's GerbView or Gerbv.
