##SnapComp: Thrift Bot MVP

Overview SnapComp is a mobile-first, single-page web tool designed for semi-serious to power resellers. The MVP rapidly delivers instant, trustworthy “buy” or “pass” verdicts for thrifted fashion items—using only a messy, natural-language text input and your item’s cost. Powered by live resale comp data from Tavily and real-time synthesis from Gemini 3.1 Flash, SnapComp eliminates manual research friction and empowers faster, more confident sourcing decisions. This build is part of the Trunk Drop product ecosystem.

Core Features Turbo-Search Input: Enter a short description (“vintage Carhartt jacket xl single stitch”) and price paid. Platform Selector: Toggle between eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, or Depop—automatically applies platform fee rates in margin analysis. Instant Verdicts: Large, color-coded badge (BUY, RISKY, or PASS) based on live market data and conservative margin logic. Confidence Metrics: See resale price range, estimated sell-through (“velocity”), certainty score, and a plain English “why”. No Login or Setup: Zero-friction, session-only workflow—no signup, no inventory log, no personal data stored. Screenshot Nudge: Subtle helper guides users to screenshot for record-keeping—no persistent database, instant export for process transparency.

How It Works Type a “vibe” search (short messy description) and your cost. Select your selling platform (toggle required). Submit: SnapComp parses your input, fetches live resale comps (favoring “sold” listings), and returns a synthesized verdict—all in under 10 seconds. Review your result: BUY (green), RISKY (yellow), or PASS (red), plus detailed price and confidence metrics. Screenshot to save. Repeat for additional items—no account, no history, pure speed.

MVP Technical Highlights Built on Lovable (React/Vite SPA framework). Tavily for web resale comp search; Gemini 1.5 Flash for NLP parsing & logic synthesis. Client-side only; session-based; no user data stored. Optimized for one-handed mobile use (input, verdict, screenshot).

Usage & Limitations MVP is open for public, portfolio-viewing only. Commercial use, external integration, redistribution, or resale is not permitted. Price and verdict logic is opinionated and should be used as a starting point for personal research—not a full guarantee of net profit. Always account for real-world variables (e.g., shipping, returns, payment processing).4MIT License
