Title. I want to know how long I should wait between requests to avoid IP bans.

This request imo is beyond the scope of this project nba.com sets the rate limit for their endpoint. nba_api as a API Client can not make suggestion or recommendations around what the rate limit is or might be as nba.com can/will change it at anytime and has the source of truth for what the rate limit is.

If you join the slack channel you can ask users of this API client about suggestions on how long to wait to avoid bans.
