Annotations in Sumatra - Improvements over the years

I have used Sumatra many years ago, and occasionally come back to it when I need to work on very big PDF files and I need to have a lightweight PDF reader. Sumatra has always been best in this.
But I also use annotations a lot in other PDF tools. OK, I am not expecting Bluebeam, PDF Xchange level annotations, but are you guys happy with where we are in terms of annotations, highlights etc?
Over the years I've been with Sumatra, I haven't seen much improvement in that area. Is that not prioritized for some reason? (And I am sorry that I don't have the talent to do that myself)

There have been vast changes in annotation but it is a tricky field as after basic highlighting it is tending as modifications to the file core.

Currently there are the 4 basic highlights squiggly underline and strike out
there are text, stamps, carets, squares and circles also straight lines with and without arrows but only diagonal ones :-)

You can add others via scripting, but the basics are covered.

so if you need enhanced then signatures and watermarks are best done with overlay scripting not annotation
