"Gateway" in async payjoin explination?

https://payjoin.org/docs/how-it-works/payjoin-v2-bip-77 has mentions of a "gateway". I am not sure what this is referring to. Ohttp semantics often flip back and forth between target host and gateway. Is this just the directory? Or is this an artifact of the draft BIP?

Bip 77 only refers to a gateway with respect to Oblivious HTTP https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc9458.html

I think the bubble in the image that refers to Gateway And Payjoin Directory as two within "knows request data" is wrong, as "knows request data" ought to be directory and what's currently payjoin directory should be "target" as is currently labeled in the bip 77 text

To clarify, these are completely separate entities in OHTTP semantics. There is no flipping. Gateway decapsulates, target is the HTTP resource the request specifies. It's all in the RFC.
