Google Proximity API is not anymore on Google Developer Console

I tried to enable the API in the Google developer console, so I can't enable it.

I am experiencing the same issue.

I was trying to enable the API via the following link:
console.developers.google.com/apis/library/proximitybeacon.googleapis.com

But it returns an error.

It would be really helpful if the team behind google proximity API gives us a short comment on the current maintenance status of the API.

For people end-up at here, we had the exactly same issue as above, here is the response we have got from Google for our production products.

Thank you for contacting Google Cloud Platform Support. I understand that your query is regarding Proximity Beacon API status. 

I have found a similar existing issue as well as an internal case on this.According to the internal case and the Beacon team, unfortunately the team is actively working on turning down the Beacon Platform, including the Proximity Beacon API. 

The team was not aware that the API was no longer discoverable by customers; this occurred independent of the deprecation work. This might be  the reason you may be unable to see any announcements on the public document or internal references. However, given their turndown plans, they do not intend to make the API discoverable/searchable again.

The beacon team has relayed their apologies for the confusion and will update our external documentation as soon as possible to clarify the situation.

So basically, you should stop using Google's Beacon Platform and start working on your migration plan

was anyone able to find a solution to this? If yes, then please help. I am trying to use Proximity beacon API to register my beacon and attach data to it.
if not, then how are you planning to move forward. could you suggest other ways to do the same? what are you guys migrating to.

We did not find any alternative in market

Because our products requires use of more beacon features, we decided to move away from it and implement our end to end solution.

Would like to know if anyone finds an alternative as well
