Stuck on bundle unpacking

I'm trying to upload a competition bundle and the upload gets stuck in the unpacking step for hours without throwing any errors. I tried restarting the upload several times and ran into the same issue.

Hi @leesuyee,

I am pretty sure this is due to network speed / issues.

I simply removed your example submission (1.6 GB file) from the bundle and from the competition.yaml file, and the bundle got uploaded and unpacked without troubles.

For the reference, I replaced solutions by this in competition.yaml:

solutions: []

You can keep the bundle without the big submission example, and upload it separately in your resources (https://www.codabench.org/tasks/), typically as a starting kit. You can then easily upload the bundle, and link the starting kit to the desired phase when needed. The "solution" field is not mandatory.

I was able to quickly upload my competition bundle without the example submission file (1.6GB). Now, I'm trying to upload the example submission file as a new task to link in my competition and the upload is very slow. Are there file size limits for tasks?

I don't think there is an upload size limit as long as the file fits your current quota (see https://www.codabench.org/tasks/).
The slowness is probably due to network connection. For your information, Codabench servers are hosted in Paris area, France.

Are you trying to upload it in the "Datasets and programs" tab? What type did you select? (starting kit, input data, etc.)

Thanks for clarifying! The file uploaded successfully, just took a bit of time. I initially tried uploading a new task but uploading to the Datasets and programs tab was much faster.
