Basic Companion Model Transfer

In EdgeTX Companion, some model names turn red and I can't write to the transmitter. What's the problem?

It means you have something wrong with that model. i.e. Take this scenario:

1. There is something wrong with 7 models
2. Super CP has it's name in red so is one of them
3. I can click the "Show Model Errors" buttons find out what is wrong
4. Now that I can see the errors (in this case, two input lines without sources, one mix line without a source), I can edit the model to fix them.

So have a look at the mixes tab for that model, and see why mix 20 has no source assigned to it.

I don't know what's wrong. It works fine in the companion simulator, but I can't transfer the program to the radio.

"Working" and being valid configuration are two completely different things. Again, look at the mixes tab for that model, Mix 20 (CH20) and assign a source to that mix line. Not having a source assigned to a mix line is not a valid configuration. Until you have resolved all the errors in the model configuration, you will not be able to write it to the radio.

Thank you for all your advice. As the error message said, there was a problem with the 10th input line. Fixing this seemed to solve the problem, and the text turned black and I was able to transfer the data to the radio. The latest version of the companion seems to be quite finicky.

Companion tries wherever possible to replicate the firmware validation and this was an area where bad things could happen thus why not allowing invalid settings to be written
